I'm so excited! My new website launched yesterday and thank's to Adii my new website has a built in blog where I'll be posting regulary now as well as build in slideshows of every wedding.

Theresa, my previous assistant is pregnant! Today just before sunset (perfect light!!) I did a pregnancy shoot with her and Hugo. She only has 3 more weeks to go.

Mandy met me about a year ago while she was venue shopping for the big day. Originally they were getting married on the 19th which was Saturday, unfortunately her venue canceled on her and they had to shift the day to the Friday. However everything turned out great! Friday was a wonderful day and Saturday I woke up with a rain storm. I was so glad they got married on Friday :)

I'm very excited about Asara, a brand new venue opening up in Stellenbosch on the 1st of May. Asara is a stunning wine estate outside of Stellebosch. The venue has a beautiful banquette hall for functions as well as a hotel and restaurant with a view over the mountains and dam.

Janie & Pierre chose this venue for their reception. Their wedding was the first one to be held on Asara. What a great venue for photographs...they have such a wide variety to use from buildings and vineyards to a huge dam and stunning mountain back drops.

Last Friday I did my fist wedding on Langverwagt. It was a perfect day! The wedding was held outside under the huge trees and the reception was in the "hoenderhok" hall. The hall was lit by candles only and created a wonderful atmosphere!

Last weekend I did another shoot at the Standkombuis in Yzerfontein. I still can't believe the sky in that place! Absolutely stunning blue!!

Martha & Bennie met in the UK and have been living there ever since. They decided to have the wedding on the west coast in South Africa and i'm very happy about that, because I had the privilege to shoot it :)

The five girls

Sunday I had so much fun with these 5 girls! They emailed me some time ago and asked me if I would be able to do a shoot for them, as this was the first time, in 10 years, that all of them got together again. They have been best friends since high school and did a photo shoot in their matric year and now they wanted to follow the tradition...

We found a few fun spots in the area as well as an amazing RED door on a farm outside stellenbosch!

I'm so excited to upload this wedding! Marnelle and Ricky are both living in London, but decided to have their wedding in Yzerfontein on the west coast. And I had the privilege to shoot it! I love the west coast, because the skies are always so blue there. But this weekend the weather surprised us with a very strong wind! I have to confess I was a bit skeptical about taking my camera equipment on the beach because of sand, but I'm so glad I did! I got the most amazing shots!

Special thanks to Marnelle and Ricky for being so daring to go on to the beach :) and especially for marnelle for being such a fun and relaxed bride! What a great couple! I wish you all the best!

Last weekend I went up to Jo'burg again to shoot Danie and Renae's wedding. The wedding was held in the Olifantsfontein area and the reception was at Klein Kaap. The church was magnificent! Made me think of those church buildings in Germany...we just needed a bit of snow :) Renae looked like an angel and they both made beautiful photos...

My cousin got married in Johannesburg this weekend. An I had the privilege to shoot the wedding :) It was a great experience to shoot a wedding outside of the Western Cape. Natasha got dressed at her parent's home and the ceremony and reception was held at "the Bridge". Natasha arrived on a little boat whereafter the ceremony was held in the chapel.

My last wedding for 2007 was Vanessa and Guy. They got married in the Saint Paul's Church in Rondebosch on the 29th of December. The church was beautiful! Apparently it turned 175 years old this year. After the wedding all the guests went to Ongegund on the way to Sir Laurie's Pass while we still took a few photos at Rhodes memorial.

The morning was a celebration of spring as well as an introduction to the new 2 businesses that opened up in Stellenbosch. Nicola makes delicious eats and does colourful and vibrant decor for any party. Koba is a make-up artist, catering from brides to workshops in make-up.

The Coffee Table Book

The long awaited coffee table book is here! All you photographs printed in a custom designed hardcover book. You can add anything from quotes, letters, lyrics of your favorite song etc. Each page has a thin matt laminated cover to protect the pages. The books are printed in 2 sizes, 20x24cm and in a 10x12cm “brag book”. A3 books are also available on request. Email me for more info.
